Chamber Visit

Chamber of horrors or Chamber of secrets    Have you ever wondered what a Hyperbaric Chamber looks like, or what the signs and symptoms of Decompression Sickness (DCS) or Decompression Illness (DCI) is. Well these questions can be answered along with many more on our trip to the hyperbaric facility at Whipps Cross hospital. We have booked a seminar with a hyperbaric supervisor who will explain all about the facility and DCI, DSC and a number of other pressure related illnesses.

The seminar will begin at 7:00pm (to be confirmed) at the Hyperbaric facility in Whipps Cross Hospital, there will be an overview and the chance to have a look around the chamber and maybe a dry dive.

Further Information about the facility can be found at
London Hyperbaric Chamber

How do you get there
A12 eastwards from the Blackwall Tunnel northern approach (A102M). Take the exit slip road at Green Man Interchange, marked Walthamstow. This is Whipps Cross Road. The hospital is half a mile along on the left, with open land on the right. .AT THE HOSPITAL (Follow the sign posts) Enter the hospital by the main entrance drive, Hospital Road, and bear right, following the road behind the main hospital building. On the right is a car park, on the left a bus stop.
